Brownie Cake with Strawberries

Ingredients
  • For the base:
  • 125 g butter (cubed)
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g strawberry jam
  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 g flour (with baking powder)
  • For the cream:
  • 400 g sour cream
  • 125 g cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • For decoration:
  • 150 g strawberries (fresh)
  • 2 tbsp strawberry jam
Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease and line the bottom and sides of a 20 cm springform pan with baking paper.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate in a water bath. Let it cool slightly and add the sugar and jam. Break in the eggs and mix well.
  3. Add the flour and stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through for even baking. Check doneness with a wooden skewer.
  5. Remove the base and let it cool for 10 minutes. Then, remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack. Cut it horizontally in half.
  6. In a bowl, mix the sour cream, cream cheese, and powdered sugar. Stir gently to avoid liquefying the cream.
  7. Place the bottom layer on a serving platter and spread half of the cream on top. Cover with the second layer and spread the remaining cream. Chill the cake.
  8. Cut the strawberries in half and arrange them on top. Drizzle with jam.
