Cake with Strawberry Jam and Powdered Sugar

Ingredients
  • 175 g flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 175 g softened butter
  • 175 g granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 - 3 tbsp fresh milk
  • 1 vanilla
  • 100 - 150 g strawberry jam
  • a little powdered sugar for dusting
Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the eggs, butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk, and beat with a mixer until smooth.
  2. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Grease two 18 cm round baking pans with butter and place parchment paper at the bottom. Divide the mixture between the two pans, smooth the surface, and bake for about 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden.
  3. Remove and let cool in the pans for a few minutes, then transfer to a rack, remove the paper, and let cool completely before assembling the cake.
  4. Spread the first layer with jam, place the second layer on top. Dust with powdered sugar.
