Ingredients
  • ground beef – 600 g
  • red beans (cooked or canned) – 400 g
  • tomatoes (canned) – 400 g
  • onion – 1 pc
  • garlic – 3 cloves
  • bell pepper – 1 pc
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • tomato paste – 2 tbsp
  • cumin – 1 tsp
  • smoked paprika – 1 tsp
  • hot pepper – 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • salt – 1 tsp
  • black pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • water or broth – 300 ml
Preparation
  1. Heat the olive oil in a pot and sauté the onion and garlic.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until golden.
  3. Add the bell pepper and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste.
  5. Add the tomatoes and beans.
  6. Season with all the spices.
  7. Pour in the broth and let simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  8. Serve.
