Meatballs with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
  • 250 g minced meat
  • thyme
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • red pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 small carrot
  • olive oil
  • tomato puree
Preparation
  1. Mix the minced meat with half a finely chopped onion, a pinch of thyme, salt, and a little black pepper. Then shape into small meatballs.
  2. Fry briefly on both sides in a preheated pan with a little oil.
  3. While frying the meatballs, prepare the tomato sauce. In a deeper pan, sauté the remaining onion with the finely chopped carrot.
  4. Once the onion and carrot have softened, add the tomato puree and season with red pepper, salt, and thyme. Let it simmer briefly and add the meatballs.
  5. Cook for a few more minutes. Serve with spaghetti or pasta.
