Pumpkin Pie with Homemade Thin Dough

Ingredients
  • flour - 500 g + 100 g for rolling out dough
  • salt - 1/2 tbsp
  • vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • warm water - 300 ml
  • oil - for greasing the dough
  • filling: pumpkin - 300 - 350 g grated
  • walnuts - 1 cup ground
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • oil - for greasing the baking dish and dough
Preparation
  1. Make a well in the flour, add warm water, salt, and vinegar. Knead until the dough is light and airy.
  2. Divide the dough into 15 small balls. Roll out the first ball and grease it with melted lard.
  3. Stack three rolled-out dough pieces, greasing each except the last. Repeat with remaining dough.
  4. Roll out the stacked dough and stretch it by hand. Place on a flat surface.
  5. Spread the filling (pumpkin, walnuts, cinnamon, sugar) and roll it up. Place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake at 250 degrees until golden brown. Sprinkle with water and sugar crystals after removing from the oven.
