Ingredients
  • 600 g flour
  • 300 ml lukewarm water (not hot)
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Preparation
  1. Sift the flour into a bowl, add salt, baking soda, and baking powder, and mix.
  2. Gradually add the mixed vinegar, sugar, and water while stirring with a spoon.
  3. Knead the dough, adding olive oil little by little, for about 10 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough into a ball, cover with a cloth, and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
  5. Form the dough into a round loaf on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  6. If making for Christmas Eve, place a coin wrapped in foil inside the bread.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 40 minutes.
