Sesame Bread with Tahini

Ingredients

For a 30 cm diameter tray:

1 cube of yeast

300 ml water
check_circle
1/3 cup oil or lard
check_circle
3 tbsp sugar
check_circle
1 tsp salt
check_circle
1 kg all-purpose flour
check_circle
300 g sesame tahini
check_circle
50 g sesame seeds
Preparation
Warm the water and dissolve the yeast with salt and sugar.
Sift the flour and add the oil and the yeast mixture.
Knead into a moderately soft dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Divide into 4 balls, roll each to fit the tray, spread with tahini, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Layer the rolled dough, cut into triangles, and let rise until doubled in size.
Brush with egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame, and bake at 180 degrees until done.
Prepare syrup from 600 ml water and 600 g sugar, boil for 10 minutes, add vanilla, and pour over the bread.
