Fried Potatoes / Bratkartoffeln

Ingredients
  • 600 g potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
Preparation
  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into larger pieces, then briefly place them in a bowl of cold water.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan, drain the potatoes, and add them to the pan. Immediately cover the pan.
  3. After about 5 minutes, turn the potatoes and cover again. After another 5 minutes, turn the potatoes once more.
  4. Add the finely chopped onion and season with salt and black pepper. Stir well and cover the pan. Add more oil if necessary.
  5. After 5 minutes, stir the potatoes and leave them on low heat uncovered for a short time. Remove from heat as needed. Enjoy!
