Ingredients
  • sugar – 400 g
  • water – 500 ml
  • starch – 100 g
  • lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • rose water (or vanilla) – 1 tsp
  • powdered sugar – 50 g
Preparation
  1. Heat water with sugar until dissolved.
  2. Add lemon juice.
  3. In a separate bowl, dissolve starch in a little water.
  4. Add the starch mixture to the syrup.
  5. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Add rose water or vanilla.
  7. Pour the mixture into a tray.
  8. Let it set for a few hours, then cut into cubes and roll in powdered sugar.
