Rice with Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Preparation
  1. Rinse the rice well under running water.
  2. Heat the oil in a pot and add the rice.
  3. Sauté lightly for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add the grated tomato and stir.
  5. Pour in the water and season with salt and black pepper.
  6. Cook on low heat until the rice absorbs the liquid.
  7. Stir and let it rest for a few minutes.
  8. Serve warm.
